I have no volume on my pc although all volume control on maximum?

You might need to be logged on as an administrator in order to do this.

Open Device Manager, click Start, and then click Control Panel. Double-click System. On the Hardware tab, click Device Manager.

See if there's a warning triangle next to your sound driver. If that's the case, try rolling back/updating the driver. If that fails or you don't have one to roll back - look on the munufacturer's site for the correct drivers for your OS, or use one of these generic ones.

For XP...

Download, install the first two files (AC97), then re-start.

Speakers plugged in? Do you have an audio card?I have no volume on my pc although all volume control on maximum?
This might sound stupid but is it on mute? Your computer can look like the volume is all of the way up even if it is muted.
if its a new PC right click the speaker and click playback devices... select which one you are using

Speakers are the ';Headphone\Speaker'; Connection

HDMI is using the HDMI cord through a computer or Home Theater system (Video\Audio)

Digital Output is if you are using an RCA Jack (orange version of the red\white\yellow style cables) to hook to a sound system

Find which one of these your using and click ';set default'; and click OK!

sound should work now... (this is only good for newer PCs... XP and down are a less tricky, this applies for Windows Vista and 7 on up)
do you have speakers?
