8 years and the GOP did nothing constructive now you want instant results. That is funnyHave the dems proven that with complete control they have no clue...?
i'm not even a dem but people like you are the reason people call this president a messiah...unrealistic expectations..he's already done way more than the previous president.

ledbetter law-womens equal pay, mortgage assistance program, CC fee reg.program, stopping torture, iraq withdrawal plan, stimulus-whether you like it or not he addressed the economic crisis, health care might take a little longer than 5 or 6 months..what are you going to say in 3 years, hang tight hater.
no

When the economy is in trouble, historically Americans turn to democrats.

MOST YEARS when Republicans hold the White House, the median income of American households goes down.

MOST YEARS when Democrats hold the White House, the median income of American households goes up.

Here we have 48 years of data, from 1959-2006.

In 20 years of Democratic Presidents: the number of poor people (those at 125% of the poverty line or below) went up in 5 years : 25% of the time.

In 28 years of Republican Presidents: the number of poor people (those at 125% of the poverty line or below) went up in 15 years: 54% of the time.

The number of poor people in America is more than twice as likely to go up when Republicans hold the White House as when Democrats hold the White House.

And the numbers show that Democrats are better for the economy than Republicans.

By Michael Kinsley

There is no secret about any of this. The figures below are all from the annual Economic Report of the President, and the analysis is primitive. Nevertheless, what these numbers show almost beyond doubt is that Democrats are better at virtually every economic task that is important to Republicans.

In other words, there are no figures here about income inequality, or percentage of the population with health insurance, or anything like that. This exercise implicitly assumes that lower taxes are always good and higher government spending is always bad. There is nothing here about how clean the air is or how many children are growing up in poverty. The only point is that if you find the Republican mantra of lower taxes and smaller government appealing, and if you care only about how fast the economy is growing, not how that growth is shared, you should vote Democratic. Of course, if you do care about things like economic inequality and children's health, you should vote Democratic as well.

The results are simple: Democratic presidents have consistently higher economic growth and consistently lower unemployment than Republican presidents. If you add in a time lag, you get the same result. If you eliminate the best and worst presidents, you get the same result. If you take a look at other economic indicators, you get the same result. There's just no way around it: Democratic administrations are better for the economy than Republican administrations.

I could keep going but you get the idea. The evidence is staggering.
You think THEY don't need campaign contributions too?

They are ALL afraid of upsetting the insurance companies.

All except the man who got his money from individual people on line.

And guess where he is sitting.

That's right, behind the desk where the bill gets signed.

LISTEN TO ME, I AM A VETERAN, I GET FREE HEALTHCARE NO MATTER WHAT, SO I HAVE NO REASON TO MISLEAD YOU.

YOU LOVE YOUR FAMILY?

YOU WANT SOMETHING WORTH FIGHTING FOR?

IT DOESN'T GET ANY MORE IMPORTANT THAN THIS, UNLESS YOU COUNT SHREDDING THE BILL OF RIGHTS LIKE BUSH DID.
It's coming. You ';repubs'; have left this country in SUCH a bad state, it's going to take some time to fix everything. We haven't had Universal Healthcare in our 200+ year history. You expect Obama to do it in only 4 months?
Corruption is bipartisan, Obama will prove to be just as guilty as Bush, but not as evil as Cheney.
They are destroying America at a vast rate. One so called Republicans give a little , a lot gets taken and it is irreversible.
they are in committee...

you guys cry when we push something through fast...and cry when we don't...

we were kind of busy with the economy for a while there...
