I have no trouble making myself do certain tasks, such as exercising, or doing homework, or finding a job, but I can never control my eating habits. If there's food in the house, I'll eat it. In the past day, I've eaten an entire pan of brownies by myself. I don't even really want them, but I can't tell myself to stop eating. I don't know what to do. I'm not overweight because usually I'm busy and on the go but whenever I get a chance to eat, I can't stop. I'm afraid this will lead to weight problems as I get older. Is there any trick to controlling how much I eat?I have no self control when it comes to food. How do I fix this?
eat really really slowly, it should make you feel full sooner, or when you are bingeing do you notice if you are watching tv or the pc, maybe you should stay in the kitchen with the food...tv can distract you and you end up eating more than you intendedI have no self control when it comes to food. I know how you feel. I struggle with binge eating myself. I have learned to eat healthy items when I feel the urge to binge like carrots or other veggies. It seems to help. I also try to get out of the house so the desire will pass. Good luck!
gurl im have tha same problem, i be eatin even when im not hungrey and stuff, but just get that healthy foods or don't eat a lot greasy foods and stuff, shoot i should be tellin myself this lolz!!!!

No trick. Just stop making excuses for yourself. YOU are the only one in the world that can do it. If you wanted to change you would, just like if you want to eat a pan of brownies you do.
i can honestly say i have the exact same problem!! but i realized that i eat cuz im just plain bored, and have nothing to do
and im not fat either
i always snack on cereals (dry)
granola
fruits
veggies
and whatever i c around me
i guess the easiest thing to do is keep urself busy

I have the same problem too! What I do now is I buy a lot of chewing gum, and pretty much 24/7, I chew gum. It helps me keep my mouth busy so I don't feel like I need to eat. Try it! It worked for me!

It's good you realize this is a bad trend, TRUST ME, as you get older you will start putting on the weight. It sounds like you have a ';habit of eating';. There are two things I can recommend, the first is snacking on ';firm foods';. Things like whole tuna, apples, etc. Foods that have some substance. Not only do you have to chew them longer, telling your brain your eating more, but they will sit in your stomach and give you a full feeling longer. The other thing I would suggest is when you start to grab a snack, consciously ask yourself if you really HAVE to have that. I did the same thing with smoking and it helped.
