Stopped birth control, no period, negative pregnancy test?

I stopped taking the pill in September in order to try to have a baby. I was supposed to have gotten my period about October 20th but it never came. It is now Nover 14th and still no period. I had very light brownish discharge for a few days around October 15th, but it was hardly there and that was it. I have taken pregnancy test but they are all negative. I really want to be pregnant, but I'm confused about what's going on. I have other symptoms, just not a positive test. I was just wondering if anyone has ever done this then turned out to be pregnant? When did your test show positive? Any stories or advice is greatly appreciated. Have a great day! The pill can mess with your body for a few cycles. If you don't have a period and have a neg test in Dec or Jan I'd talk to your doc just to see if anything else may be going on. It's weird though.. with my second I quit the pill and got pregnant ASAP the first month and now I'm trying for my 3rd and have been off the pill for 15 months and still nothing. ur cycle takes a little while to get back on track afte getting off of bcp.


u could be pregnant though.
It could be your body getting back to 'normal' so to speak from the hormonal change of the pill.





you could call your gyn and ask them to do a blood test to see if you are indeed pregnant.
Im going through the exact same thing and it's driving me crazy. The only thing that I can suggest is go to the doctor and have them do a blood test and see if there's anything else that could be causing all of your symptoms. I know that Ive never had signs of pregnancy while on the pill or getting off, but everyone's different. I still don't know if I am, but have an appointment next week. Good luck!
Same exact thing happened to me last year around this time. i got off the pill the end of september. i got my period in october and then nothing after. i took 3 pregnancy test... all negative. i work at a hospital so i had my blood drawn because thats the most accurate. i was pregnant but all the home tests were still negative. i would really suggest just to go to your doctors and have blood drawn. they look for the amount of HCG your body is producing. HCG is the hormone your body produces when you're prego. Good luck with everything!
