I recently went from taking Yasmin (which I took for two years) to Yaz which is a lower dose of the same drug. My doctor told me I would be protected immediately since it was the same drug. Yasmin was 21 days of active pills and 7 of inert and the Yaz is 24 days of active and 4 of inert. I'm two days late for my period and have taken a preg test that came up negative. should I be worried? I also took a preg test and the doctors office a week ago that came up negative, but I think that would be too early to tell.Switched Birth Control-No Period?
My girlfriend recently switched to Yaz and ended up being one week late her first month...
She took a couple of pregnancy tests that came back negative, but still when she did have her period we said a couple of words for the poor soul that might have been. I was going to name him Yaz...Switched Birth Control-No Period?
You're not pregnant. Whenever my wife switched prescriptions her period did weird things...including missing it sometimes (and sometimes it would be just awful). So I wouldn't worry about it at all unless you continue to miss periods.
your period is going to skip and go longer than usual like when you first start your period it's normal
Since switching your birth control over your schedule had been messed with. It is perfectly okay that you missed you period. It will either just come late or you will just get it next month.. It can take 3 months for you to have a normal period again.
maybe your body just needs time to adjust to the pill since its kind of different. but still, keep taking pregnancy tests just in case...it might be a little too early...but then again it should take at least 5 days after you first missed period before the preg test actually works! i think it might just be your body adjusting to the new pill though;) so dont worry too much about it girl;D
good luck!
I wouldn't be worried, honestly.
When you change your birth control, whether it's the same drug or not, your body still needs to adjust to the different hormone levels. No worries! It's normal.
when you switch like that, its normal for your body to react like that
just give it time.
