Does the catholic religion believe it's followers have no self control?

Do they believe humans wont control themselves, so then they make the most innocent things wrong? It is said in the NT, that if a man looks at a woman with lust in his eyes, he's guilty of adultery. How's undressing someone with ur eyes just as bad as having premarital sex with them? Sure, one could lead to the other, but it may not...depending on the two ppl involved n how they choose to control themselves. I can see how both are bad, but how's one just as bad as the other? And yes, I'm aware that the undressing with eye is referring to a conscious thought, not an unconscious one. But one could do the mental act, n not the physical. Or, how is seeing ones body as god made it equal to using it in premarital coitus? In the bible, it's the same thing. The same thing goes for a sexual act, that isn't sex. Some say it's equal...I'm talking about kissing n such, nothing which involve gonads.

There are other examples which are non sexual...such as thinking of stealing, but not stealing. Thought, word, deed, are all bad in the catholic faith. But if one has self control, thought or word wouldn't lead to deed. So how are all three amounting to the same wrong, if they're all different? Explain in detail, thanks. Honest answers pls.Does the catholic religion believe it's followers have no self control?

The temptation to sin, however strong it can be at times, is NEVER too much for the sinner to bear. Therefore, the sinner CHOOSES to sin; freely chooses to succumb to temptation - which is why the sinner is morally culpable for the sins he/she commits.

The man has violated the woman's dignity as a human being by seeing her, not as the person she is; but as a mere object who's only purpose is this man's self-centered pursuit of pleasure.

When one person looks at another, he/she is supposed to be seeing another person, not an object for one's own amusement.

If a man becomes accustomed to undressing women with his eyes, it's only a matter of time before this man's disordered inclination begins to assert itself outwardly. It's only a matter of time before the man begins treating the woman - in real life - the same way he treated them in his mind - like objects. Nothing good can come from that which is why it is a sin.

the violation of on'e dignity as a human being is a serious sin; whether it is done in the privacy of one's mind or acted out in real life.

The human body is a Temple; a Temple for the Holy Spirit. This is where out Dignity as human being comes from.

Whenever the body is mistreated, such as in the case of sex outside the marital union, the Temple is defiled.

Because our boddies are Temples for the Holy Spirit; how we treat other people IS how we treat God. We love God by loving other people; by acknowledging their dignity as human beings. If all one does is ';use'; others, in disrespecting the dignity of those human beings, God is being disrespected. That's not a good thing.

The context in which this treatment takes place is what matters here:

If two unmarried people are embracing and kissing because they love each other, nothing wrong with that.

If they are hugging and kissing for some reason other than love, there is very definitively something wrong with this picture.

The temptation to steal does not violate anyone's human dignity, except perhaps that of the thief.

That fact that one can commit adultery - just by mere thought - ought to demonstrate just how important and essential one's dignity as a human being is.Does the catholic religion believe it's followers have no self control?
you really don't understand how weak and feeble the human will and mind are, do you?

Of course the Church teaches us to have self-control!!!!!
The truth is that Jesus is God, and Jesus loves you so very much! :D

Salvation is a FREE GIFT that happens in a split second when you believe in Jesus! It is impossible to lose or ';leave'; salvation unless you sin. Hebrews 6:4-6 - (After the ';enlightened'; [baptized] fall away, they cannot be enlightened again.)

Acts 22:16 - ';have yourself baptized and your sins washed away .Acts 16:30, 33 - ';what must I do to be saved? ... he and all his family were baptized

The truth about Jesus is that the only way to be saved and to get into heaven and avoid being sent to eternal hell, is by believing, 1 Cor 13 We are saved By Grace Alone thru faith, hope, and charity , but the greatest of these is charity (Love).

Mark 16:16 - ';Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved';

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish

John 6:54, ';Whoever eats My flesh, and drinks My blood, has eternal life; and I will raise him up on the last day.

John 6:55 - to clarify further, Jesus says ';For My Flesh is food indeed, and My Blood is drink indeed.

That Jesus, who is God, died for our sins on the cross as FULL PAYMENT for all our sins, and then Jesus rose from the dead .Colossians 2:12 - ';burned with him in baptism .. raised with him [in] Faith . Believe this and you will be in heaven, no matter what! Joh 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

Catholicism leads to eternal happiness in heaven, since Catholicism teaches a gospel

Of Life everlasting with Christ. Ephesians 4:5 - One Lord One Faith One Baptism
