Why are the film directors growing like weeds today, is there no quality control ?

No theres not unfortunately the standards for directors, actors, and movies that comes out in theaters sunk. There are so many out there.Why are the film directors growing like weeds today, is there no quality control ?
There is no other quality control then flopping of the film. Indian laws and constitution permit to rear a profession of own choice provided it does not harms others fundemental rights.Why are the film directors growing like weeds today, is there no quality control ?
I agree with venkat: we get the movies we deserve; so also for directors, actors etc. If the viewers decided to boycott third rate directors, no producer would engage them.





continuing in the same vein, we should not fault film makers for including 'objectionable' content; they are only trying to make money and hope to cash in on our weaknesses.

Better yet, what ever happened to quality screenwriters who can write a script with plot development, the build up, climax and a complete wrap up with interesting characters who actually have something intelligent to say!





I agree with you; a half way decent movie is hard to come by which is probably why I do not go to the movies all that often.
Everythings grows like weeds now-a-days. Starting from universities to engineering colleges to film-directors and all that - everything grows like weeds. This is the trash-period of Kali-Yuga running.
Sometimes I think the movie's financers ($$$ to back) are really looking for tax write-offs. Which means anyone that ';can direct'; do. Then you view a film which is actually a waste of time, not even a one hit wonder, and you leave the theater shaking your head and thinking what was that about.





Yep, I think all of these so called directors numbers swell and are backed by the money men for tax write offs. So the need for directors has nothing to do with quality movies!





I think janitors at the studios are writing the scripts now.
Coz every tom dick and harry is getting in to direction. flop actors(abhishake kapoor,atul agnihotri,i can leave pooja bhatt she's still better) choreographers, photographers(have u seen Alag?), stunt man,fashion designers,singers....
Cuz it's easy to get a camera.
The quality controllers are audience acceptance is the answer.
if film directors r growing i think we can also grow everyperson has his ideas and they use it in different ways and propaply directors r applying there ideas in film and they r growing
